New month, new experiences.

I have now finished my LAST exam to get a high school diploma! Written New-Norwegian.

For those of you who do not speak Norwegian, new-Norwegian is simply a Norwegian official dialect which is the second official version of the written Norwegian language, meaning we have two written languages. But despite its name it is actually OLDER than traditional Norwegian which is the written language we write normally. But even though this form of writing is outdated and seemingly useless, it is still forced upon students in addition to traditional Norwegian, so we actually have to learn two different sets of grammar for our language. Meaning I have now underwent three different Norwegian exams in order to pass Norwegian as a subject; Oral Norwegian, written traditional Norwegian and written new-Norwegian. I guess you could say that I am extremely tired of Norwegian and I couldn't be happier I'm done with that. Now I'll have to wait until the 21st to see if I passed them. But I do have a pretty good feeling about the results... Well, to be honest, I can't really afford to think anything but positive about this. eheheh

Also, I have met some new people from this town, who were awesome and really nice! So I feel much more positive about this town now~(referring to my last rant-post...)

ダーリンは外国人(My Darling is a Foreigner) from 2010
I've been planning to watch this movie since it came out, but I didn't until last week, and like I presumed, this is my new favorite movie. It's about a Japanese girl(Inoue Mao, my favorite actress) who falls in love with an American man, and they start dating and the movie is about how it's like having a foreign partner. Since my boyfriend is Japanese, this movie is relevant for us! It's a sweet feel-good movie with lots of funny moments and it's a great love story~ The movie is based off the manga with the same name by Saori Oguri.

Cookie Dough. I randomly ran across this link: http://www.bakerella.com/chocolate-chip-cookie-dough-truffles/And I was basically amazed. I need to make this sometime in NEAR FUTURE. The recipe seems simple, and the result looks delicioussss.

My mother's home made herb-tea♥ main ingredients: ginger and camille.

    Thor.
This movie is awesome, and the actors are great and I've always loved Norse mythology!

    BB Cream!
I had heard about the wonders this product was supposed to do, and I had a kind of "Yeah, right"-attitude towards it. But when I was in Korea this March, me and a couple of the girls decided to try it out for real, and I am amazed by the effects. The things this cream does to my skin is magic! In addition to a full and even coverage, it keeps my skin moist throughout the day, and it helps prevent spots and evens out wonderfully! I used to have red areas around my nose and on my cheeks, they disappeared after starting using BB Cream, so that even without any makeup, my face looks healthier and fresh. It's also blending better with my skin-tone than any other foundation creams I've tried, and it sits beautifully on. I know that it may not be like this on all skin-types, but for my skin-type, it's magic and I now swear by it~

    BIGBANG's new song "Monster".

This is a beautiful song, and the melody of the chorus totally stuck in my brain, I just love it!!! The lyrics are very sad, and the music and video really portraits the emotion of the song. I love BIGBANG, and I'm so excited to hear the Japanese version omg

Actually I love the entire album that's why I have two versions of it lol what even

Tomorrow I'm going to see my family and friends in Bodø(a city in the North of Norway, where I have lived for several years)! It's time for 10 hours on a train again~ This reminds me a lot of last summer now. lol
Guess I better go pack or something

      Bitches got told

I just lost a bit of respect for people in this town...

Today, two girls, apparently from my sister's class, were standing outside of the supermarket as I walked out of it. I walked past them to find a spot to wait for my mother to come pick me up, since she drove me there. Then, I noticed the girls starting to imitate the way I walk, which of course is a bit different from how they walk since I am born with Arthrogryposis in both my legs and have had several surgeries in my childhood because of that. They were laughing and looking to see if I noticed, then continued laughing and imitating my walk.

They should not have done that.

They've laughed at me as I've passed them and given me the finger and such things before, and I've ignored it. But this time, I DID NOT just sit back and take it. My first reaction was shock, then I decided that I'm not going to take crap from anyone, or let anyone make me feel bad for the way I look again. Because to my annoyance, their actions DID make me feel bad, and I got reminded of all the similar episodes I've had in my past.

I just got home to my mom's place in this little village after an amazing year at a boarding school, where everyone accepted everyone, so getting back to THIS was pretty shocking for me. I guess I had forgotten that human beings can be idiots. Well, anyway, I told them off. I screamed, I cursed, and apparently, I ended up scaring the living fuck out of those girls, because in the end, they were actually running away from me. There were other people around too, and the girls got so embarrassed and humiliated that they didn't know what to do. I hope they are fucking embarrassed. I hope they are fucking scared. I hope they have learned not to mess with me. What is wrong with people. Seriously, making fun of people with disabilities? Or anyone, for that matter?! Did they think I would just accept that???

I guess they won't make fun of my walk again. And if they do, I am not going to react any different than this time. I know that was a major wasting of my energy, I probably should have just ignored them, but I will not lie and say that it didn't feel great to stand up for myself. If ignoring them only tells them it's OK to do things like that, then I'm sure as hell not going to stay silent!

This episode made me realize that I had actually forgotten about the cruelties of mankind while I was at Toten Folkehøgskole. I want to thank all those wonderful people in that school for that!!

OK I'm done with my rant. I just needed to get that out of my system.

I'm going to Desucon this year 8'D

The summer has really started in Norway! It's been super warm for a couple of days in a row now, it's great!!

Today, I ate healthy chocolate(it actually said that on the package so I guess it is) and worked out for 35 minutes. It's been a while since I worked out properly, so it was nice to dust off the Orbitrek and get started for the summer! With some Kpop, Cpop and Jpop in the background, I get a great workout from that machine! I don't have any strict weight loss goals anymore, now it's just for keeping things up and if I lose some kgs in the process, I'm not complaining. As long as I don't get below 65 kgs. That's kind of my limit. lol

      ☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

Next month will be exciting! I'm going to attend DesuCon - Norway's big annual Japan and sci-fi convention, at June 23rd & 24th!!! I didn't go least year, but I was there the year before that, when Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet- performed - my favorite Jrock & Visual Kei band!!! I'm the leader for their Norwegian Street Team, and I was lucky enough to actually meet the guys after the concert at a bar! They're all really cool! ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ
Hizaki patted my head and gave me a real man-hug. <3 And Masashi is huge!

At this year's DesuCon, another Visual kei group is going to perform, their name is Anli Pollicino, I've never heard of them before, but their music is actually pretty cool!!

I know a lot of people are going to cosplay at DesuCon. I want to cosplay too, but I have no idea who I should cosplay! I don't have the time to make a costume from scratch and I can't be Naruto again(mainly because the pants fitted me when I was 17, but not anymore... haha). With some dress modifications, I could be Elizabeth from Kuroshitsuji, since I already have the dress.

But I need to sew it in considerably, since I weighed a lot more when I ordered it than I do now. I could also do Japanese street-fashion, such as gothic lolita or gyaru. Well, I've got a month to decide XD

I'm really looking forward to this event, since many of the people I know are going, and I'm going to stay at my former classmate Tonje's place! SHE IS SO AWESOME IT'S GONNA BE AMAZING.

      ☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

Also, starting from July 24th, I've got a two-week summer job at my former school!! I'll be an assistant teacher for a summer-school project together with three other of my former schoolmates, among them Kjersti <3 :D I'm really looking forward to it! Not only will I get some extra money this summer, I'll also get my first job-experience at the age of 21. lol. Gotta start sometime.

An update from the middle of Norway! I write long blogposts

The day before yesterday I had my History exam -
and I passed that one too!!!

I have now passed two of the four exams I have to take in order for me to get a High School-diploma, which again allows me to take the course in Japan!!!
The question I got on the exam was about German newer history, something I had read some about, but not ALL. I thought I would get a much wider subject, so I basically read through both of the History books, studying a little bit about everything. But I managed to get a 4(equal to a C), and it means I passed and I'm super hyped about that!!!

      ☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

I also sent the application documents in paper to my school in Kyoto, and the next time they will contact me, is about accommodations!
Having lived in a dorm-style room for a year in my last school, I almost can't wait to have my own apartment again, in Japan, for me to decorate as I wish~
I will make it so beautiful, I'll have flowers, matching kitchen appliances, cute bedding and I'll make cute bento every day 8'D

Speaking of Japan, I talked to my man yesterday. I got to see him on webcam. It's been 2 months since we met. I was so happy just to see his face on webcam~

I mean, he is just so handsome and I can't even. I'm so in love. I just love him and I miss him like hell and now it's (only) 4 months until we can meet again!!

      ☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

School's out, and the graduation day was super sad. A lot of tears were shed, but we will keep in touch through internet and meet up from time to time ^^
And we'll always have our fandoms. During this year, I've discovered the whole BBC's Sherlock fandom(thanks to Linda, Tanita and Mia), more Kpop, Cpop and Jpop groups(thanks to Siri and Kjersti), more Jrock(thanks to Tonje) and anime(thanks to everyone)

Me and Kjersti, Siri, Julie and Marie from my class did a cover dance of the song "Sherlock" by SHINee~ We practiced almost every day for weeks, for us it was a very nice thing to do together at the very end of the year.(also, Sherlock was released while we were on our class trip in Korea!!)
Here's a video of our performance on the graduation day, filmed by Heidi, an awesome girl from my school~
I'm in the front, doing Minho's parts. We haven't made a complete copy of the dance, since quite honestly, there are some moves I am physically unable to do, due to my Arthrogryposis. But we were creative and some parts are individualized and I still think the result was awesome! This dance and this song will forever remind me of my gorgeous girls ^__^

I'm missing my people already, sitting here in my mother's house... I think I'm gonna watch some J-drama.

      See you later~ (*^ー^)ノ

      Last day of school

Yesterday I had my first exam. An oral exam in Norwegian. I had prepared like hell, and I was so nervous, but the teachers asked me mostly things I knew and I PASSED!!!!!!!! THANK YOU WORLD

      I got a 4, which is equal to a C in most other countries~~~
This means I've passed the most difficult of my four exams!!! Not passing is not an option, actually, because it's the only way I can get a high school diploma, which I NEED to be able to study in Japan in October. So I'm gonna do this!!!!!!!

I feel like I can do anything now!! Sohappyrightnow

As I was waiting for the bus to go back to my dorm after my exam, I spotted a tiny MOUSE by my feet! O__O It was trying to find shelter in my bag, since it was raining like hell.

Also, when I sat down on the bench at the bus-stop, I noticed this right next to where I was sitting:
WOW THANK YOU STRANGER lol (this is funny because my name is Lena)

Before my exam started, my school went to a theme park here in Norway, called Hunderfossen, which is basically the land of trolls and fairytales :D It was awesome!
Fairytale castle and a tractor. You know you're in Norway when... XD

We found THE MOST creepy robot-princess. She reminded me of the Japanese nurse robot...

In these past weeks Kjersti, Julie, Marie, Siri and me have practiced the dance of SHINee's new song "Sherlock"~ We're going to perform it on the graduation day(tomorrow!!)

      There is no difference. lol

Now for some serious and sad news. Today is the last day at my Folk High school, and we've all been cleaning our rooms thoroughly. Two days ago, my lovely mother and little brother came here to pick up my stuff, so now my room is basically empty.. It's so weird to be leaving here!!! All the people I've met, and lived with for the past year in this dorm, the classtrip to Asia, all the crazy and awesome stuff we have done over this time. I'm going to miss it!!!
I LOVE YOU GUYS, WE WILL ALWAYS BE KKJ FAMILY.

      image

Well, now my room is clean and empty and tomorrow I will be home with my family again. It will be nice to spend time with my family, but I can't really imagine not being surrounded by all these wonderful people here at Toten Folkehøgskole!!! This year has been truly awesome and amazing and I will never forget it!!!

      Year book of my school

Oh, and I'm totally hooked on Instagram these days. Expect lots of instagramme'd photos on this blog from now on.

Class trip of 2012 - China, Korea and Japan

Here's a blogpost about our entire class trip to China, Korea and Japan!!!
(this post is super picture heavy)

On March 2nd, we all met up at Oslo Airport Gardermoen and the excitement was extreme! The one thing we had prepared for all year was about to happen!

First off was Beijing. Even though I had traveled the distance between Norway and Beijing a number of times on my way to Japan, somehow, this time it felt shorter! I had only transferred from Beijing, so I was happy to be able to experience China outside the airport! My first impression was amazement over how the new, shiny skyscrapers stood in total contrast to the tiny, run-down brick houses and small and old store-buildings. Our hotel was... interesting. We were living at a fairly cheap hotel, outside of the biggest tourist spots, and the hotel was marked by this fact. Our hotel room was extremely dirty at all times, even when the cleaning ladies washed there! Well, we did survive in there, at least. And apparently there was a small rabbit-farm in the other side of the hotel building.

We saw and did so many things in China! Among the highlights were The Great Wall of China, Beijing Zoo, Acrobatics show, Beijing Opera, the various parks and the tiny shops behind our hotel.
      Chinese food was super yummy!

The Bird's Nest! It was huge, and amazing!

We did a traditional Chinese studio photoshoot, in which we were dressed and made up  by professionals!

I found Rain in a Chinese cosmetics-shop~ haha

My hotel-roommate Marie posing with our hotel breakfast: Dumplings

      Panda bear in Beijing Zoo!!!!!!!

Me and Siri posing at Beijing Zoo ~

Still water with a picture of Lee Hom, Mango-juice and Disney-princess yoghurt! Me and my hotel-roomie always had this in our hotel-room. <3

Starbucks coffee and coffee aroma cheese cake. I LOVE STARBUCKS!
THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA, GUYS. Yes, I climbed it.

We fooled around at The Great Wall. lol

Beijing Opera :D I didn't understand a single word, but it was interesting and I understood the entire story from the acting.
We met a bunch of Japanese guys at Temple of Heaven and we played feather-ball(traditional Chinese game in which the point it to kick a ball with feathers from person to person and try to keep it in the air as long as possible). We failed. But it was really fun!!

A huge, outside flea-market. There were A LOT of interesting stuff there and I bought a lot of suvernirs for my family and friends there~ And I haggled hard. lol

Me, Elisabeth and Mia taking awesome photos right before watching Bejiing Acrobatics Show~

I didn't get any good pictures of this, but there were 7 motorcyclists inside that cage AT THE SAME TIME! It was the final act of the show and it blew my freaking mind. The entire Acrobatics Show was just amazing.

Siri and me at the Airport in Bejiing, leaving for Japan!

In Tokyo we went on a Grand Full Day Tour which included Tokyo Tower, Asakusa, Meiji Shrine, Buddhist and Shinto style parks, and dinner in Ginza! It was so much fun, since I had never been on an actual guided tour in Tokyo before! I learned a lot, and were able to visit places I had wanted to visit last time I was there, but couldn't! I was really happy to be able to speak Japanese again and to go back to the places I recognized~ we went to Shibuya 109 and walked around Ikebukuro, took purikura, ate delicious Japanese food and had so much fun!
On the day off, I took the Shinkansen alone to Shin-Osaka, to meet my Yuto. It was great to be able to combine the class trip and meeting my boyfriend!
I had only taken the Shinkansen once before, to Fukuoka with Yuto, but I managed to find my way and get on the right one. I first took the Yamanote line(loop line) from Ikebukuro station(where we stayed) to Tokyo station, and found my way to the Shinkansen-place navigating from the signs in the station. But I have to say, if I hadn't gone once before with Yuto, I might have taken a lot longer time to find the right place and figure out what to do. It was nice to get back to Shin-Osaka, and I was so happy to spend a day with Yuto, even if it was only for that day.

We talked to some Japanese schoolgirls who were on a class trip too in Tokyo Tower!

Tokyo Warm Light in Tokyo Tower <3

We found a ninja in Asakusa!! XD

      Prayers in Meiji Shrine~

Early blooming Sakura blossoms in a Shinto-garden

The beautiful contrast of the city and garden in a Buddhist garden.

(From the left: Eli, Marie, Emilia, Siri, Tonje, Margrete, Kjersti & Kristine)

I found Kimura Takuya 8D haha

Seoul was amazing and we had a lot of fun there too!! We visited parks, shopped cosmetics and Kpop, went to a cat café and ate great Korean food! Also, we went to Lotte World, and to DMZ - at the border between South- and North Korea!
And some of us went to the recording place of Kiss The Radio - a radio show hosted by Ryeowook and Sungmin, members of the Korean boyband Super Junior, which we're huge fans of! We also visited the cafés run by some of the family members of the band, Kona Beans(run by the mothers of Leeteuk, Kyuhyun and Sungmin, and where Sungmin's younger brtoher also works) and Händel & Gretel(run by Yesung's family members). Now, me, Kjersti and Marie had prepared mittens for each member of Super Junior(they are 15 members, lol) and we delivered them to their families at the cafés. ^__^

I found Jang Geun Suk outside of Nature Republic, a cosmetics store~

Cat Café near our hotel in Sincheon!

Naked cat in the cat café ~ it was so cute omg.

We went to Sukira - Kiss The Radio at KBS!!! It was extremely difficult to get a good picture of it, but two of Super Junior's members are sitting in there! XD

While waiting outside of Lotte World, we found the Star Avenue, here's Kjersti posing with 2PM :D

At Etude House inside of Lotte World, I found Onew from SHINee, who seemed not so willing to receive my kiss. lol

I also found Minho from SHINee :D

Jjajjangmyon in Lotte World! I love this dish!

      Scenery of Lotte World~

On the way to DMZ and the border between South Korea and North Korea. These flags were made by students wishing for a reunion of the two.

This is the border! I am actually standing on NORTH KOREA's side while taking this picture, safely inside a room.

      Soldiers guarding the border constantly!!

Me and Kjersti in from of the border. North Korea is in the background.

      The Bridge of No Return!
These are the mittens we had made for the members of Super Junior~

Kjersti, Siri and Tanita at Kona Beans, the café run by Leeteuk, Kyuhyun and Sungmin's mothers!

      Kjersti at Kona Beans~

My food at Kona Beans <3 Oreo-brownie(!), chicken ciabbatta and coffee.

Caramel Macchiato from Kona Beans. I will never forget its taste! Sungmin's younger took our order!

Cocoa from Händel & Gretel, the café run by Yesun's family~ Yesung's younger brother was the one serving us ^^

At the airport, I found Yunho and Changmin from DBSK/TVXQ :D

This was truly a trip of a lifetime, and it wouldn't have been this epic and fun and amazing if I hadn't traveled together with my awesome classmates and teachers! I have so many fantastic memories! <3
